Prosac prescribed for eating disorders?

I have to say that I am afraid for my friends. They are in their late twenties and it looks to me they have some eating disorder. They are very sensitive when we talk about it, and it looks like there is even depression involved. I will try to help them as much as I can, so I need some info. Can Prosac be prescribed for eating disorders?

Bulimia and anorexia are two most common and known eating disorders and both are very serious and might lead to some further complications. But, sine those two have to do a lot with the patient’s personality and character, I assume that the therapy differs in each case. Prosac might be a solution to some patients, because it deals with depression.
