| Hi. I am 49 years old, and I went to my doctor yesterday. I was feeling ill, and I felt stinging when ever I urinated. After a few tests, he has diagnosed me with prostatitis. I know little about this disease, and I don't know why I've gotten it. I am really puzzled with this. What are my options? |

| Well, prostatitis comes sometimes with age. Other times because of some sexually transmitted disease, or some big stress. It can be cured, and the treatment is constant during a few months. In severe cases, an operation is needed, but most of these conditions can be cure with medications, mostly alpha blockers. It is recommended that you drink a lot of water, and not to exhaust yourself. |
