It seems that there is a big misconception about protein. Some people think that protein is fattening. I know it is not, but I can explain them why. I am taking protein shakes for a ling time. I was hoping that someone here can tell me am I right and if I am how to convince others in the gym?

A reason for fat misconceptions are due to under-education on the part of the general public and is especially bad around people who attack protein, and more specifically, protein shakes. These nutrition aids should be highly respected. Shakes post workout is ideal and very useful; I would recommend everyone take one as protein is needed as soon as possible after a workout. Nothing will be faster in getting to the muscles.

Does protein supplements added to a normal diet and exercise therefore increase or decrease overall weight? I understand that it helps build muscle, etc, but what is the weight impact.
