If you have been found protein in urine, your doctor needs to find what it is indicating. The condition is called proteinuria and it could be indicating mild urinary tract infection, which would be treated during pregnancy.
However, excessive protein in urine could be indicating kidney damage because protein is too big to pass the kidney filters when everything’s ok.
The disorder could be also indicating damage of the blood vessels.
If proteinuria is accompanied with high blood pressure, swelling of the feet, face and hands, it could be indicating the beginning of preclampsia, which could be life threatening condition in pregnancy.
Women with diabetes or high blood pressure are more suspected of the disorde and if you are one of them, you need to control your diseases with medications, proper dieting and exercise. |
