Hello all,

I work at a Call Center with around 2000 people working there. I have been getting ill lots of time but when going to the doctor, every one prescribed FLU medicine and shots. Problem persisted by having fever and throat pain. Finally, my doctor decided to have a different approach and swapped my throat(faringe) to have a sample and the result was that I have Pseudomona Aureginosa. He did the test once more to confirm and the test came positive. I was hospitalized for 3 days having intravenous antibiotics (2 of them) and I am feeling a lot better. Still I am under treatment and recovery goes well but my questions is the following: Doctor sent a letter to my work place and they replied back that it was only one known case out of 1575 employees and that they are not planning to do any tests to know if this is present at workplace. As I have read a lot and noticed that this is a highly aggresive bacteria plus the fact that mortality rate is also high, shouldn't they go ahead and do the tests? Thsi was confirmed by my doctor. We have several people with flu like symptoms just like me before and others with intestinal infections and faringitis or severe throat pain. I think the building might have the Sick Building Syndrome.Any thoughts are highly appreciated.

i was hospitalized for 2 weeks. first dagnosed with pseudomonas in my intestines. then the bacteria spread to my lungs and as a result i got pneumonia. i was given flagil, ees 400, clindamycin, vancromycin and finally levaquon. the doctor explained that this strain had to be chased as he called it with several antibotics to find one that would cure it.
