Pseudotumor Cerebri?

My 36 year old sister had some strange symptoms related to her vision abilities. She was having some blind spots in front her eyes followed by headache, nausea and vomiting. These headaches never were specific, always were different by its frequency, type and location. 4 months ago she started having real trouble with her vision and went to the medical doctor and was diagnosed with Pseudotumor Cerebri.i don’t know what have caused this Pseudotumor Cerebri and how she got it for I don’t know that anyone in our family had it. Anyway she is now about to have a surgery for the medical treatment she was at didn’t work so I wonder does really Pseudomotor Cerebri demands surgery or she may still try to continue with medical treatment.

She must be suspected of a serious risk of blind loss for she’s being scheduled for surgery treatment. I know that if medical treatment failed the surgery one is the only solution for Pseudotumor Cerebri treatment or otherwise she might get blind. And yet again on the other hand prolonged use of the medical treatment may even worsen the situation regarding her vision ability. The surgery effects usually depends on the current condition if the situation is pretty severe than the chances of restoring the vision are very small. And as for the causes family history doesn’t have anything to do with it though it also might be a major risk factor. Pseudotumor Cerebri usually affects woman that are overweight and that are old between 20 and 45 years which is practically the woman childbearing age. The signs and symptoms of Pseudotumor Cerebri are usually manifested in severe headaches followed by strong nausea and vomiting. So important part of the treatment besides medical therapy is actually weight loss and exercise for some cases shows that weight loss combined with medical therapy in obesity woman affected by Pseudotumor Cerebri has resulted in this disorders remission.
