Hi, my very good friend is suffering from depression for several years. Unfortunately her condition was pretty bad and when she visited her doctor last time he decided to keep her in the hospital. Doctor told her father that she is suffering from Psychomotor retardation so I would like to know something more about it.

Hi, I also had a friend who was suffering from psychomotor retardation. It is phase of depression when disorder became very severe. This phase is characterized by slowing down of physical activities same as mental functions. This phase very often put patient in the position that he needs support from medical personnel in feeding and other basic functions.
