Puffies, teen nipples

I am 24-year-old male. Since I was a child I have these small and swollen nipples.
As a child, I went to see a doctor because of that and doctor said that is normal and with time they will become normal.
Well, 15 years passed and my nipples stayed the same, small, swollen and puffy. You can’t imagine how embarrassment I suffered all this years every time I had to take my close off.
Is this normal? What should I do?
I want to know if there is any surgical procedure I can go repair anomaly?

I’m student of medicine and read your post the other day and it made me thinking.
I thought about your problem a lot and possible cause of your puffy nipples for all those years.
Only thing I could think of is some hormonal disbalance.
There are some hormones like Prolactine, which can cause this kind of problems.
You should see your GP and say you want blood tests to see if a cause for the swelling can be hormonal disbalance.
You used term-anomaly. Maybe you’re right and we’re talking about simple anomaly. If this all is about anomaly then simple surgical procedure will solve all your problems.

Another reason could be from being over weight (my cousin had the same thing) but once he grew a bit and started playing sports, he dropped the weight and they arenow completely normal

Dont change a thing!....I had a girlfriend with the same characteristics, and I thought they were BEAUTIFUL!....Wish I could find another with nipples just like those......dont change a thing

to the poster before me... Hes a GUY not a girl. and also I am a 19yr. old bodybuilder. I have had enlarged nipples since I was 13 and Ive never really been too over weight in terms of body fat. I have been trying to figure out how to get them to go away also, thus the bodybuilding portion of my life, doctor said they would go away by the time I was 18... im 19 and they are the same damn size. but then my mom (a nurse) said it was probably a Hormonal dis-balance. I have yet to get the results back...
