What’s the thing about stages of Purberty in girls? I’m 13 years old and still haven’t got my first menstruation. How can I know when it will happen? Are there signs that I would recognize? How can I be prepared for it?

There are 5 stages of puberty, but there is exactly no clear borders between one and next. At your age, you should be at the 2nd or the 3rd stage. Menarche or the first menstruation usually happens at the end of the 3rd or at 4th stage. There are no specific signs that may let you know you’re about to get it. But signs like breast growth, pubic hair growth, and clear whitish discharge usually lead to occurrence of the first menstruation. It’s normal to wait for the menarche until the age of 17-18.
