Hi, my mother has RLS and she has been prescribed with Requip for treatment. What other medications can be used in RLS?

Hi, as I know many persons have managed to take control over RLS with medications. It’s worth trying it anyway, you have nothing to lose. The pharmacologic treatment of RLS is complex and requires professional assistance. With Requip it is often to experience insomnia, and for this patients start to take some sedatives. Usually, treatment starts with initial dosage that is readjusted to patients specific needs. Widely used medications for RLS are dopaminergic agents, benzodiazepines, opioids, and, in some cases, anticonvulsants. Dopaminergic agents should provide help with over activity and moving of legs.
