Hi, i'm 18 years old and for the past few months i've had really light periods that are around 40days apart and just recently my vagina has been feeling really raw and looks red and shiny. Also i've had discharge that's clear and like jelly. I've not had unprotected sex so i don' think it could be an STI. I can't go to the doctors because i'm at university and not registered and my doctor is 400miles away! What can it be? I get sores inside my mouth all the time and it kind of looks like that, could it be the same thing? It's really worrying me and i don't know what to do! Please someone give me some advice!!
Thanks.

Hi... I'm 19 years old, and I just recently found out that I had and STD. I didnt know it though, but what you're saying sounds like it could be. It doesn't matter if you've had unprotected sex or not to be honest. If you've both preformed oral sex on each other, a STD could possibly be passed from the reproductive areas to the mouth, and then mouth to mouth from kissing, and then to other's reproductive system when oral sex is preformed again... there area actually many ways STD's can be transmitted. I'm not trying to worry you, but I was lucky enough to find out mine was Chlamydia, and it was in a very early stage, which is treatable, and curable... you might want to try to do some research on some of the symptoms of different STD's just to be sure... here's a site I found that hopefully you will find helpful.

I wish you luck... and I hope I might have helped a little bit.
