This type of medication is usually prescribed to people who have diabetes type 2 but can be used for reactive hypoglycemic’s too? I’ve heard of some called alpha-glucosidase inhibitors, and works in the intestine, slowing down the digestion of carbohydrates, and lengthening the time it takes for cab's to convert to glucose, thereby facilitating better blood glucose control. Anyone ever heard of this drug?
I am also suffering from reactive hypoglycemia. Only after 2 hours I must eat something, my head is spinning I guess from the diving glucose or it just can’t stabilize. I never heard about this drug, but I’ll ask around. Do you eat often?
