Thank you for sharing this with us. It's important to realize that some doctors will acquire a certain reputation & then just coast off of it without necessarily maintaining high quality work. Then if things go really wrong they "punt" you to someone else ASAP so you're not their problem & their image isn't tarnished. That is a classic move of someone who has lost sight of their work & is caught up in all the hoopla & money of fame; and it also makes for poor medical care which ultimately is the most important service of any doctor.
I would say even beyond this exprience judging from celebrity results I would give mixed reviews. A.Simpson's nose was excellent, C. Diaz was good & J.Aniston looks "natural" but overall mediocre.
I'm still willing to accept that overall he has good skills but from reading all the posts I do get the sense he is less focused, caring & astute with regards to the skills that made him famous in the first place. Add a generally outrageous fee to this & I am not sure it is worth the experience. I have an upcoming consult  appt very soon but now have serious reservations about keeping it. |

| Im from Wales in Great Britain. Iv'e been hugely unhappy with my nose for many years and always hoped of having it done. Im now 18 and have been trawling through website after website for the best place to go to. Iv'e read up about Dr Raj Kanodia as being one of those top quality surgeons and was just wondering what other people thought? Because i dont live any where near Beverly hills it would be quite a distance for me to travel and wondered if he was worth it. Has anyone travelled a long distance and recieved the comfort they expected or been very dissapointed? Thanks |

Hi--- I traveled across the US to see Dr. Kanodia 2 weeks ago, and I was quite pleased. His office staff was extremely efficient ...and attentive. I found Dr. Kanodia to very professional and pleasant at the same time. I enjoyed talking with him!!
The nurse snapped pictures of my face/nose first. Next, he examined me, and then discussed in detail ( while I looked at my face in a mirror) what needed to be done to naturally improve the look of my nose. He does not use computer generated images of your possible "new nose"
His work is amazing...and he is admired among physicians even here on the east coast!!
He is truly an artist. He does NOT have a generic, "signature" nose. He adjusts one's nose according to his or her face, it appears. (Personally, I would travel anywhere for that alone)
The wait is long to first get a consultation with him AND to schedule your surgery. I think he is worth the wait. I will have my surgery with him next spring!
The price is high;however, I suspect this is relative.
Hopefully, this sheds a LITTLE insight into the visit with Dr. Kanodia

hi - this is for the guest that's having their surgery with kanodia next spring. If u don't mind sharing, how much did he quote you?
Has anyone had experiences with dr Mark Constantian in New Hampshire? He comes recommended by Dr Sheen who is now retired and was regarded as the top notch rhinoplasty specialist. I'm in San Diego but don't mind traveling to see the best! Thanks! |

| Dr. Kanodia's price is going up next year, I was told over the phone! In 2006 it was $12,000 - $15,000 , then this year it went to $14,000 - $18,000 . I guess in 2008 it will be like $18,000 - $22,000 ?! I don't know but I hope not. He really is the best out there! He has done Ashlee Simpson , Cameron Diaz , The Olsen Twins , and this year Jennifer Aniston ! plus many more celebs we just dont know! He is worth the extra money, I just hope he stops going up lol Ashlee Simpson's nose turned out amazing! He really is the best in the world! |

I guess he continues to raise his prices - I just called his office on 10-17-2007 and they said he charges from $14,000 to $18,000 for a rhinoplasty now. That means the cheapest is $14K! I guess when you have a great reputation, you can charge the most! That doesn't mean there are not other great surgeons, that may be just as good or even better than Dr. Kanodia, it just means that he has marketed himself very well so his clients perceive that he is "worth it".

Really??? I was told by one company that it could go up as high as $7995. I have an appointment with the doctor in about a month. his name is Alex K. Kim. couldn't find any info about him online. but he is in Beverly Hills. I hope it doesn't end up being that high. |

hi everyone i am 15 years old and live in New York, i want doctor Raj even tho he is very expensie, does anyone think it is woth it with plane fair 2 times for consultation and surgury, or can anyone tell me a doctor in new york who is as good because i want the best

I would wait until you are older. Looking back, I wanted one soooo bad when I was your age. However, had I been able to get one, I don't think that I would have done my due diligence. Rather, I would have rushed into it and gone w/ the cheapest/shortest wait. If you say that you want the best, but are concerned about the price of the airfare, I can tell that you are too concerned about the costs as it is.
Wait until you're at least 20 or 21. If it truly is important to you, you'll wait to have all the money to consult w/ the best and book it through them. If for no other reason why you should wait until you're older, you should wait b/c your nose continues to change as you get older. Since you're right at the cusp of major changes, you should probably wait until your bodily changes have slowed down. |
