Hi Everyone,
I just thought I would thank you all for all the info on Dr. Kanodia, this has been helpful and also left me a little doubtful about going to see him. However, I did not find any of this info until the night before my appointment. So since I waited about 6 months to get in for my consultation and I didn't want to cancel at the last minute, I decided to go and find out what he had to say. My appointment was 0n 11-27-07. I myself had a very nice experience with him, my experience was just how the person that calls themselve (Guest) described it to be. I never asked for prices before going in, I feel as most of you, that your turn out is more important then the money, however for myself, I don't have an unlimitted amount to spend, and since I had no idea what it would cost, I had an amount that I would be willing to pay if I had to, if I was happy with what he had to say. I was happy with what he had to say, however in my particular situation there is only so much he can do to improve it, and really wants for me to think about it and suggested seeing other Doctors for their opinions. I found him to be very honest, this is the second consultation I have been to for Rhinoplasty, the first Doctor said, it is not broken or crooked, so in his opinion there was nothing wrong with it. That was about 4 years ago, since then I found out about Dr. Kanodia and herd he is the best, and we all want the best, when it comes to something like this. He does get $200 for the consultation fee, however they told me at the desk that he shaved $100 from that, so my cost was $100. Why, I have no idea, he spent about 20 min's with me, and I felt we covered everything. He told me my surgery was $15,000 and $3,000 for the anesthesiologist for a total of $18,000.00.
I had 2 concerns when I went in, one he would turn me away as the other Doctor did, and two, it would cost as much as he quoted me. I, like alot of you feel it is worth it, but if you don't have it, you don't have it. I agree that there are other Doctors out there, that are just as good that charge less. I am not looking for a cheap Doctor, but a doctor that knows what he is doing and for a good price. I hope this info helps someone out there that is interested in Rhinoplasty. |

Ya, he did a good job on some movie stars. I am sure he had to be his best that day. I do not think that means he will not try as hard on a nobody. I am sure he always trys. But if you are very famous he will try harder.

It's important to realize that some doctors will acquire a certain reputation & then just coast off of it without necessarily maintaining high quality work. Then if things go really wrong they "punt" you to someone else ASAP so you're not their problem & their image isn't tarnished. That is a classic move of someone who has lost sight of their work & is caught up in all the hoopla & money of fame; and it also makes for poor medical care which ultimately is the most important service of any doctor.
I would say even beyond this exprience judging from celebrity results I would give mixed reviews. A.Simpson's nose was excellent, C. Diaz was good & J.Aniston looks "natural" but overall mediocre.
I'm still willing to accept that overall he has good skills but from reading all the posts I do get the sense he is less focused, caring & astute with regards to the skills that made him famous in the first place. Add a generally outrageous fee to this & I am not sure it is worth the experience. I have an upcoming consult appt very soon but now have serious reservations about keeping it. |

Dr. Kanodia performed rhinoplasy on me 28 years ago just after going into private practice. He is a remarkable and talented artist who can only have improved and perfected his craft after all these years. I had broken my nose multiple times in childhood and had developed a grossly deviated septum. I really hated my profile. The surgery produced a subtle change that softened my facial features; I have been so very pleased with the results after all these years. Fortunatley, my insurance covered my surgery, but I seem to remember the expenses being somewhere around 5,000 to 7,000 dollars in total back in 1980.
He also did rhinoplasy on several friends and a cousin of mine. All were very happy with their results.
If you can afford it, you are in very capable hands.

| My daughter has been seen at Boston Childrens Hospital for the past year. Along with her numerous staff of doctors, one is a Pediatric Plastic Surgeon. I had asked him for myself a recommendation on a surgeon for rhinoplasty. Assuming it would be an associate or such located within the many hospitals of Boston, it was not. He was quick to rec. Dr Mark Constantian in Nashua NH. He said without a dout the "best in the country". This man has been caring for my daughter and has my complete trust. I have a consultation 2/18. |

| I just had a consultation with a surgeon in Tampa and the rhinoplasty is about $9000. If your in Beverly Hills I'd bet it's going to be more than that. |

Hey everyone. In October I booked my surgery for early April. He was the third doctor with whom I consulted. I liked very much how we were on the same page as to the aesthetic problems w/ my nose. I found him to be nice, never mean or rude. Rather, he tells it how it is. In the end, all surgeons do what they think is best. So I guess his style helps to weed out those who won't be satisfied with the kind of nose he would give them. Some might consider it rude that he doesn't ask them what they don't like, but looking back, I think it's only because he has an eye for how to make it better. For instance, it's useless to tell an orthodontist that you don't like an out-of-place front tooth in an overcrowded mouth and tell him to yank it out. Orthodontists know that you can't just extract one of the front teeth and then fix the rest since the finished product will look off-balanced. Instead, they know that they have to yank out the molars and slowly let the out-of-place tooth come to its right place. Thus, what you think needs to be done is irrelevant. Each orthodontist has his own style of fixing it, but it probably doesn't involve much of what the patient thinks.
Anyway, back on point, I booked the surgery mainly due to the strength of the pictures in his B&A book for noses like mine (hook nose). After seeing the book, I knew that I could completely trust his eye and skill.
I just had my one month pre-op appt. It went so well, that I left ecstatic. He definitely had more time then and was much friendlier and better about calming my nerves. He went over again what changes he would make and answered all of my questions. His staff was even gracious enough to change my surgery date on such short notice.
I'm very optimistic for my surgery. It feels really good to know that I have a doctor who has my unwavering trust. I'll try to keep everyone posted on the post-surgery results. |

| Dr. Kanodia does not come cheap - charging up to 3X more than what you'd expect to pay for a nose job - HOWEVER - this surgeon has a stellar reputation and a lot of satisfied patients. This is why I've chosen to put my face in his hands. Yes, it's a lot of money, perhaps shockingly high to many of you, but I have seen countless bad and obvious-looking nose jobs, and I do not want to be among them. Trust is a big issue when opting for plastic surgery, so if I'm going to do it, I'm going with the best. His approach is conservative, and he understands the "artistry" of this procedure. |

About Dr. Alex Kim, I have a consult scheduled with him next week, and was trying to find out about him. Other that this and what's on his actual site there is nothing. Would you mind sharing your experience with him. Specifically if you had him do your work and if not why? I am consulting him for a breast augmentation, and am looking for as much info as possible. Thank you so much!

I wouldn’t know what the exact price would be at dr. kanodias office but considering he works on Beverly Hills, I would say high!
I read that, back in 2002, an average surgeon's fee was $3,751 for rhinoplasty. This of course didn’t include the cost of the operating facility like hospital, cost of anesthesia or any medications you might be required to purchase. Approximately, the total cost shouldn’t go over 6,000$ - these are my calculations.
In case you are experiencing health problems or have been hurt in an accident, you may be able to receive some money from the insurance company. If your goal is primarily cosmetic, then you are on your own. |
Really??? I was told by one company that it could go up as high as $7995. I have an appointment with the doctor in about a month. his name is Alex K. Kim. couldn't find any info about him online. but he is in Beverly Hills. I hope it doesn't end up being that high. | |

| Dr. Raj Kanodia charges $200 for consultation, and about $15,000 for the actual surgery. His price for rhinoplasty is said to go up to $20,000 by next year because he is in high demand and people are willing to pay that much (is what he said to me) If you want a dramatic change he is not the doctor for you. He believes a little goes a long way. He is a very cocky doctor, not very friendly because he knows he the best at what he does. Recovery is great, did not hurt at all just a bit disconforting. I would highly recommend him if your going for a settle change! |
