Recommended dosage of Motrin for a 6 month old baby?

I need an urgent advice, please. I have a little boy, he is just a 6 month old baby. He has high fever, he is burning! He has 102.9F. I would like to give him some medication. My husband thinks that we should give him Motrin. But we dont know how much to give him. Can you tell us what is recommended dosage of Motrin for a 6 month old baby?

Motrin is a good choice. You can give him 5 to 10 mg per 2.2 pounds of baby's body weight. Since his temperature is over 102.5F then you can use 10 mg per 2.2 of body weight. The fewer should pass in 6 to 8 hours. It is important to remember not to give him more then 40 mg per 2.2 pounds of body weight in one day.
