Rectal bleeding after use of magnesium hydroxide

I am having problems with often constipations. I do not defecate sometimes for five days and that is a problem for me. I have tried with some laxatives, but with no effect. I am using magnesium hydroxide now and it helps with defecation. Is Rectal bleeding after use of magnesium hydroxide possible?

Magnesium hydroxide is a laxative that is not absorbed in digestive tract, but has the ability to apprehend big amount of water in intestines. With increased volume, I t activates peristaltic motions. The effect starts quickly, after only one hour, if you take a lot of fluid together. As for bleeding, I think it is a result of hard stool that damaged the mucus of intestinal tract.
