Recurring Ringworm After A Year

My husband got ringworm on his back about a year to 1-1/2 years ago when he stayed at a hotel on business. He thinks he got it from sitting on the sofa in his room. The doctor prescribed prescription-strength Lamasil and it went completely away.

Now here it is well over a year later, and today I noticed that the ringworm is starting to reappear on his back again. My husband always wears at least an undershirt (tank-style) or an undershirt and work shirt. All of his towels and undershirts are washed in hot soapy water with bleach. We don't understand why the ringworm is back as he hasn't really been anywhere.

Is it possible for ringworm to stay dormant in the body and reappear after a year?

I also want to add that my husband has psoriasis which he uses Taclonex for. I don't think ringworm has anything to do with psoriasis, but I thought I would mention it, just in case.
