Redness Under Foreskin

So I noticed a bit of redness on the head of my penis, under the foreskin, a few days back and it has seems to have spread. I'm not sure if this is something I sould be worried about (like balanitis) or just a reaction from oversensitivity. I've been sure to wash it a lot and it seems to have stopped spreading but it itches sometimes (is that part of the healing?)
