Posted: 04/11/08 - 00:40 Post subject: Redness and ulcerations on penis head.. |
|
|
Hi, i am 17 never had sex or anything sexually orientated.
I am not circumcised.
On parts of the head and on some parts of the underside of teh foreskin i have red spots like round cuts..
I have been to the doctor once.. could not show him because i am to shy and he just suggested this cream wich i forgot the name of..
I went away slightly but then when i ran out it came back..
it is itchy at times and can smell bad..
Any ideas what it is?
if i get more insight as to what it could possibly be maybe i could go for another doctors appointment.
I'm just so confused how i could have contracted something from nothing.. |

| Its probably yeast infection. it tends to reoccur, it is quite annoying. Although you need to maintain proper hygiene and wash under the foreskin, too much washing could contribute to yeast. the doc probably gave you an anti-fungal cream. |

Hmmm yes thinking about it that does make alot of sense,
And yes it was an anti fungal cream..
Are there any over the counter things that can help?
or will i have to see the doctor?
I'm still uncertain about how bad penile yeast infections are or how i could have gotten it. |

Yeast infection is not dangerous but it is annoying. Yes, you can get some OTC products, just ask at the pharmacy.
Yeast infection can be acquired through various ways....prolonged antibiotic usage, excessive washing, condom usage, sex, etc |
