Since i was born ive had a redness on the tip of my penis (exit of the urethra) and it has caused no harm...no itching no flaking no pain just the redness. When i was born the doctor said it was no harm but now that im 15 im wanting to get something done about it if i can. Also there has been redness on the the piece of skin that connects to the foreskin. Can masurbation have caused this, i only do it maybe twice a week if that. Is there any cream that can be perscribed to reduce the redness?
It is really hard to say much since we don’t know what this redness is.
It is normal for some redness of the tip to be present, especially if it’s been like that since you were born.
Did your doctor mention this being some kind of abnormality or he/she said it was a normal appearance of the glans? It would be best if you saw a doctor again and went through your options with him if there are any. It is hard to say anything without knowing what the redness may be.
Masturbation is highly unlikely to be the cause of the redness unless you have been doing it really harsh or using strange devices. If your glans is constantly under the foreskin and you haven’t been washing regularly under the foreskin, you may experience redness.
