Hi, my brother is suffering from OCD and he is on Paxil and Xanax now, which comes as great combination! He was on Lexapro and Xanax before but it was not nearly as effective combination. I have done some more research about his therapy and I found Remeron, which is not an SSRI, and I red that supposedly work for OCD. True or false?

I heard that many patients with OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder), after inadequate response to standard treatment with SSRI surprisingly had great response to Remeron as I did. I just hope that adverse reactions as drowsiness and weight gain are not going to be prominent. I hope that it will help to your brother too if he decide to try with this medicine.
