Removal of ovary and fallopian tube

I just had one ovary and fallopian tube removed and my doctor told me that this will have no effect on fertility. In fact, the remaining ovary will adjust to the loss of the other ovary and ovulate every month. However, I have noticed feeling extra emotional since the surgery, but I think this is related to general anathesia and not hormonal changes.
