Reoccurance of thyroid cancer?

I was diagnosed with Papilliary thryoid cancer 7 years ago. I had total thyroidectomy with left and right neck disection followed by radioactive iodine.

My Tg levels went from 3 down to 1.4 but was generally around 2. The doctors have continued to monitor me on a yearly basis and expressed no concern that I had detectable tg.

I went to the docs on Monday and my Tg has now gone up to 5.5. They are planning on doing scans to find out where it is.

Is this level of Tg bad? Is it normal for my previous Tg to have been 2? If this is reoccurance, what is my likely prognosis?

Can someone please help??
