I am considering replacing silver fillings to white? It is only for esthetic purposes. Have anyone else done this? Any tips?

Hi, I did that last year. I replaced silver filling to white in most of my teeth. It took few weeks, little pain...but nothing to worry about. I am satisfied. However, I’ve heard that white ones are not strong enough as silver ones.
