Researchers found that stomach flu can be treated with new vaccines. Scientists found that the virus responsible for this disease genetically mutates itself in similar way to the virus that cause influenza. Novoviruses is the name for stomach flu and it’s symptoms include 3 days of vomiting, diarrhea and it can sometimes lead to death in elderly people and in infants.

Experts realized after examining correlation between sequences of genes encoding the GIL 4 norovirus that virus evolved irregularly. Scientists say that virus keeps changing and noroviruses are very contagious because it only takes one or two viral particles to become infected. Doctors advise people to wash their hands very good because it’s necessary in situations when the virus is present.

Scientists hope that research on new vaccine against stomach flu is going to be success because it has important role especially among elderly and people who are vulnerable to the effects of this illness.
