New research found that diet with chronic deficiency of vitamins can lead to the onset of some diseases like cancer, obesity and degenerative diseases of ageing. This finding was reported by an expert who invented one of the standard tests for cancer – causing chemicals. Results of the study showed that 1 or more of 40 micronutrients were short in people’s diet and these micronutrients are essential for a healthy life.

Scientists said that dietary supplements in the form of vitamin pills could aid in combating many disorders that are age related. Researchers said that large number of people are deficient in many micronutrients and that leads body to an emergency response where it tries to balance metabolism by a process of compensation.

Researchers claim that consequences of deficiency in micronutrients can lead to DNA damage causing future cancers, lower immune defense and many other disorders.
