Hello,
my mom is after total hip surgery. two weeks later, there is still fluids and pus from the surgery wound so doctors made another surgery to find the source of problem and found that its Resistant E.coli.
what are the chances to heal that case?

I have ecoli after knee replacement , spent a month in hospital , was opened up three times, since had a revision opp, ecoli can be treated with antibiotics, so your mum should be ok, but you never totaly get rid of the bug , there will always be a small amount around the the new knee/ hip what ever and there always a chance it could flare up,.
I am haveing treatment to find out how much infection i have in my knee , two years after the intial opperation,the only consalation is that it was not MRSA ,, I THINK. |
