I had a respiratory infection few weeks ago. I am worried because ever since then, I don’t feel so good. Doctor says that I am fine, but I worry all the time. Can you give me more information about respiratory infections?

I understand that you are worried about yourself. If you are not feeling so good, you need to insist for more tests. I am sure that you are probably ok, just like your doctor says. However, sometimes it is good to be more careful, especially when our health is in stake. Respiratory infections are common, for example colds in both adults and children. Most colds are usually mild and confined to the upper respiratory tract and probably viral induced, at least initially. However, upper respiratory tract infections may spread downwards and cause more severe infections. Main feature of cold is watery to mucous nasal discharge "coryza". One of the problems is that any respiratory infection requiring medical professional attention is almost invariably treated with antibiotics. I am sure that you will be ok as long as you are being monitored by your doctor.
