Hi, I am 21 years old and I am pregnant for two months. I am not ready to have a baby yet because I want to finish my collage so having baby in this moment would disrupt my plans. I have decided together with my boyfriend that I will go on abortion but I am afraid because one my friend suffered uterine rupture during abortion. I would like to know how big the risk is that something like that can happen to me.
Hi, rupture of uterus is very serious complication. It is mistake which gynecologist may do while he is removing surface layers of uterus after abortion. Risk is not big and it is not something that happens frequently. Your friend really didn't have luck when that happened to you. I suggest you to choose experienced gynecologist and there is no reason to worry.
