Risks associated with tattoo

I am planning to get tattoo on my left leg, behind the ankle and on my neck, also back side. I know that is painful and all that stuff, but what are the health risks associated with tattoo?

There are few health risks: a risk of getting Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV/AIDS and other infections when getting a tattoo. What you can do is protect yourself from Hepatitis B by getting vaccinated, but there are no vaccines for Hepatitis C or HIV and do not drink alcohol before getting a tattoo, it can cause excess bleeding, also make sure the tattoo studio is clean.
