SHould Saint John's Wort be taken with prescription drugs for depression?

My sister is using certain medications to treat depression for years. Few days ago I read in some magazine that Sant John's Wort can be very effective like other antidepressants. She would like to try it but we are not sure about that. SHould Saint John's Wort be taken with prescription drugs for depression?

No. Don’t do that because St John's wort sometimes may reacts with other drugs, especially with SSRI antidepressant. Anyway, before your sister try with St John's wort, she needs to consult with her doctor first. St John's wort is pretty effective product and it not good for everybody. I had bad experience with it.
