STOMACH PAINS

MY HUBAND HAS HAD CHRONIC ACID REFLUX FOR 3 YEARS, HE VOMITS AT NIGHT AND SOMETIMES DOES NOT SLEEP FOR 24 HOURS. NOW HE IS GETTING CHRONIC PAINS IN HIS STOMACH WHICH JUMP FROM HIS RIGHT SIDE TO HIS LEFT DOWN TO HIS GENTIIALS. THIS STOPS HIM IN HIS TRACKS, HE HAS BEEN TO THE HOSPITAL THEY SAY IT IS SOMETHING TO DO WITH HIS KIDNEYS BUT DONT KNOW WHAT. HE HAS NO BACTERIA OR ANYTHING IN HIS URINE. HE IS IN CONSTANT PAIN AT TIMES, DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS SOUNDS LIKE?

Hi! I had problems with kidney stones and had similar problems. Kidney stones may not cause problems if they are small and not moving but on their way out through urethra they can be devastating. The pain may be moving anywhere from the bottom of the ribs and the groin to the testicles. May pain would usually start in the lower back and end up in my testicles. First I though I had caught some kind of bacterial infection because I had smelly urine and burning while urinating but no bacteria was found just like in your husband’s case. The pain was so strong at times that it would make me nauseous and want to vomit.

The doc did a blood test, then again a urine test to check for those chemicals that are forming the stones and an ultrasound.

There are people who are more prone to developing stones like those who have taken any of the following meds-diuretics, thyroid meds, or antacids, those who have a family history of stones, those who eat high protein food and low fiber food, who don’t drink enough water, who don’t move enough, etc
I had to have them removed because there was some sort of blockage and they were big and causing much trouble. But not all stones are immediately removed.

Talk to his doctor about a possibility of having stones.
