I am a 47 year old who has been diagnosed by my gyn through blood test as going through beginning of menopause. For a year and a half I have had about 6 super light periods, mainly old dark tissue discharge that lasts a day or two that needs only a pantyliner for protection. 5 days ago I began a super heavy bleeding and show now signs of slowing. By heavy I mean I am wearing a super plus tampon and a large thick sanitary pad and within an hour I have soaked both. Like I said 5 days now and no signs of lightening yet. I am beginning to get light-headed from so much blood loss. Is this normal for a woman going through menopause?
