I got married recently, and my husband and I are planning to have a baby. Problem is my asthma. I am not sure if I can use Salmeterol in pregnancy. I tried to find my OP, but without success. I do not what to do. Should we try with making baby and if I get pregnant see what to do or not?
Obstetricians and gynecologist do not approve use of Salmeterol during pregnancy if there is another option for treating mothers asthma. Salmeterol can be used only in cases when benefit of him is much more than damage. Manufacturer did not done enough tests to prove safety or harmless of Salmeterol. I cannot tell you whether or not you should make baby, that is yours decision.
