My brother had a problem with bleeding gums and bacteria. He was on scaling and root planning treatment. I would like to hear more about home care after scaling/root treatment from somebody with experience.

Hi. Scaling and Root planning treatment will remove tartar loaded with bacteria below and around the gum line. Home care after root planning and scaling means your brother will have to rinse with warm salt-water every few hours. He must not bite or chew his lip, cheek or tongue, while they are numb. He should drink a lot of water every day and he must avoid hot drinks or foods. Yogurt, cooked eggs and soups should be his food now.
