For the past two months I skipped my white (fake) pills to skip my period. Now this month for the past say 6 days I have been having some spotting brownish and sometimes bright red only when I wipe and sometimes on my underwear (little). I also have been taking my pills a little later then usual. I had sex about 3-4 weeks ago. I have been on the pill for about 5years now. My period is due this up coming week. I am just confused and have never spotted before my real period. ANy ideas?

Since you skipped your sugar pills the last two cycles, there is no way to know what is going on with your body. I woud hazard a guess that it is just your body fighting to make you have the period you so desperately need. You cannot do that to your body without some side effects.

You should never make yourself skip a period all together, much less two months in a row. If you want to skip for a weekend, you can get pills from the doc for that. PROVERA They will keep your period from coming for 10 days. But you must let your body cycle after that. It is extremely unhealthy to force your body to do something it is made to do naturally.

You should check with your doctor, and be upfront about what you did. He/she won't be able to help without all of the proper information. Do be embarrassed, just tell them you realize you shouldn't have done it, and will not do it again. Also, ask for the Provera for when you want to skip again.

If perhaps your doc told you to do this, I am sure that they did not mean two months in a row.

Good luck and blessings.

Acually yes I consulted my doctor and she said that yes it was okay. Have you ever heard of Seasonale? It is a birth control pill that you take and you only get your period 4 times in one year, so acually it is okay to do.
