Hi, folks. I have been experiencing some problems with sleep apnea. My wife has heard some good things about somnoplasty and I would like to try with this. I am scheduled for this procedure, but I would like to know how much pain I should expect. Can anyone tell me something more?

Hello. Somnoplasty can really help for sleep apnea. As far as I know, this is not a complicate procedure. Pain after surgery is bearable. Some patients don’t even require pain medications. Of course, there are some that need them. Tissues after surgery are swollen and painful in some range. You should talk about this with your ENT specialist or anesthesiologist. I hope everything will be all right. Bye!
