Hi there, I am sorry to hear this. Schizoaffective disorder is a psychiatric diagnosis for patients who suffer from mood disorder and psychosis at the same time. It is more common for females and it usually starts in early adulthood. I guess that you are mostly interested in treatment. Except standard treatment some people even use cannabis. Treatment is a mixture of therapy and medicines. The most common medicines used for this condition are: Depakote ER, Lithium salts, Risperdal and Seroquel. Sometimes full recovery may happen but it is not the same for every patient.
