Sclerosing a neuroma

I've had 4 alcohol shots and feel like they are only making the situation worse with my neuroma. I'm due to take the 5th on in less than a week. How long should I continue to take the shots?

I hear it'll initially be painful, but it's a good sign because the nerve is being killed.
