|
|
Hi , 16 year old here, I heard that there are some bad and not so bad cases of sebaceous prominence, well it feels like I have got it the worst, I must have over a 100 little white spots on my penis (and thats not exaggerating) and many more on my testicles. I've heard there is no cure at all for something that looks so ugly. So my question do they eventually fade in time or maybe disappear.
Also I would like to know can these little white spots be transmitted by touch, for instance, if I am masturbating and touch some of them can they be spread if I accidentally touch a smooth part of my penis? |

Sebaceous prominence is not contagious and transmittable in any way and they can’t be spread from one place of the body from another. You probably heard of foliculitis. These bumps can be spread from one place to another by dirty hands but this is probably because they are infected by bacteria. Sebaceous prominence is not an infection.
It is true there isn’t any treatment and I think that they might go away on their own, maybe when you get out of the puberty. However, it is said that usually more and more appear (on their own, not by spreading) but I guess you already went through that part.
I also have sebaceous prominence, all over my shaft and they are only visible when I stretch my foreskin but it is also normal to have them in scrotum, because you have hairs there as well. I don’t mind them because I know they are normal and I got used to them over the years, but I was as upset as you are now. Don’t squeeze them as it will only hurt and you won’t benefit from it. |

| i have had sebaceous prominance ever since i was about 14 and i worried about them constantly it very nearly destroyed my life because i wanted nothing to do with the opposite sex at all because of it,and people assumed that i was gay which i,m not.my self esteem and confidence dropped and i became withdrawn and introverted and remained a virgin till i was 30,although i,d been to the docs twice with this problem i still didn,t know what they were until recently when i visited the docs for a third time and was told that they are normal.in the end though i felt that i wasn,t going to let this ruin my life and took the bull by the horns and got myself a girlfriend at first she was a bit bemused by them and thought they were warts but now excepts them as normal and i now have two beautiful children,so dont let them ruin your life accept them dont be embarrased by them and start enjoying your life! |

u got some guts, how is your intimate life? does your gf is willing to cooperate with your device that has bunch of spots?
we are doomed, those white spots leave us with regular basic sex.
People tell u to be brave and go get a girl and hope she won't notice. The intimate life thats what countss the most atleast for me instead of geting a girl and marrying her then have kids and lve happy life thats b.s.
AS we young people we want to experience the pleasures of intimate life.
White spots have turn off on the partner and you might find yourself with regular sex that turns into routine |

I started to get sebaceous prominence when I was around 23. I am now 34. As a teenager i had very bad acne and scars have now been left on my face and back.
at 22 I met a girl and went out with her for about a year and a half. She was the 1st one I had a sexual relationship with. Mind you before her I never masturbated. However, with the stress of university and being newly introduced to sex i masturbated often, not cleaning the area after. Again, at the end of the relationship I developed these small bumps all over the shaft of my penis and scrotum. In the hundreds like yourself. Shortly after she noticed, the relationship ended. However, I can't say for sure if this was the cause because our relationship was more physical than anything. We really had nothing in common.
The reason I mention the above experience is like many I am scared to death to get involved with another woman. It's been over 10 years since I've been intimate and have turned down a few pretty women during this time period.
Anyways, I hope you find a cure or treatment to a point that will build your self-esteem up again. I in the meantime will be trying to find some remedies on my own to try to reduce these ugly little things. Even probably going to return to the Dermatologist to see if there is anything new on the market.
My best advice I've heard in the last week in reading all the stories people are going through with this problem is make sure you eat healthy and keep the area as clean as possible so no more pores will get clogged.
Remember, stay strong!! You never know when somebody might find a treatment.
And if one isn't found I've also read some stories like you probably have of men marrying even though they suffer the same condition. |
