I had unprotected oral sex five months ago. I was tested for Syphilis after 5 weeks and it was negative. Few weeks ago I developed rash on my palms and feet. Hoe long it takes before syphilis antibodies shows up? My friend told me that I am already in secondary stage.

Syphilis can be transmitted through oral sex, but this does not occur very often. Rash on palms and feet can be a symptom of secondary syphilis. One of my friends had primary and he had chancres in the mouth. Anyway it is strange because you were tested and jet you have symptoms. Even if it is secondary your test should be positive. Please, this s serious infection, ask for second opinion or do another test. Remember the symptoms of syphilis resemble the symptoms of many other illnesses.
