Hi. I suffer from non-epileptic seizures. My seizures are often triggered by lack of sleep. The same thing happens if I change my sleep pattern. Should I get more sleep?

Hi. I am an epileptic and I have the same problem. Some people have seizures if they don`t sleep enough, or if they change their sleep routine. In that case, you should go to bed and get up at regular hours. Do not disrupt your sleep. My doc told me there is no need to sleep more. Some people have seizures triggered by sleeping longer than they used to. Sometimes I have seizures during sleep. That is why I have to sleep in a low bed. I sleep surrounded by cushions and the sharp edges of my bed are covered with foam rubber. Anyway, I have a certain sleeping routine and I have to follow that schedule to avoid seizures.
