Severe Acute Stomach Pains

I've been having very strange stomach pains for about 8-9 months now. The first time it happened was in the morning and it was so painful I went to the hospital. They made sure it wasn't appendicitis and I recovered in 4-5 days without a diagnoses. Since then it's happened to me about 3 other times, each within about 3 months from each other and each leaving me bedridden for 4 days. The pain is very severe and feels like a coal burning in my stomach. I haven't seen a doctor since and don't know what it is. any clue?
