I wanted to know if it was safe to have sex after gallbladder surgery, and how long should I wait?

I had my gall bladder removed 1 week ago and I had my follow-up appointment today. I asked the Dr. how soon was it safe for sex? She said as soon as I was comfortable with it.

Good luck.

Hi,
I took out my gallbladder on December 17, 2007 and was told by my doctor to wait two months before resuming sex. I guess it depend on the gender.

Why did you have to wait 2 months after surgery to have sex? Also, what other limitations did you have? Lifting? Foods not to eat?
I am just about 6 weeks post op from a vaginal hysterectomy and I am not looking forward to another surgery in the next week or 2. i will be getting my gall bladder out after I meet with the surgeon tomorrow and set a date.
