Hi. My brother told me that Lyme is a sexually transmitted disease and that it can also be spread by contact with an infected person. I know that Lyme can imitate many diseases, and I think that`s the reason why – the imitator could imitate the way of transmitting? What do you think?
No man. Lyme disease is caused by Borrelia burgdorferi and Borrelia needs a tick to spread. Lyme is being transmitted by an infected tick`s bite. So, Lyme is not a sexually transmitted disease. And Lyme imitates only symptoms, as far as I know, not the way of transmitting. It would be like AIDS, otherwise.
