Shingles???

I would like to know if you can have a break out of shingles in only one location. For about a year now I have been getting a pain and very tender to the touch on my inner left thigh. After a few days of this, in the same location it will start to turn red and swell. It is also very warm to the touch. Then after a day or two, a small cluster of blisters shows up. This lasts for up to a few weeks. I only seem to break out like this after I am very stressed. I just recently found out that my mother also has shingles and I am hoping that that is what I have instead of herpes.

I am afraid of going to the doctor about this if it is herpes. I live in a very small town where everyone knows everyone and tells all regardless.
