| Doctors said that I am suffering from short bowel syndrome. My problems started several months ago. First, it was nothing but a common diarrhea, and it occurred once in a week or two. However, later, other symptoms showed, such as pain in abdominal area, weight loss. Now I just want to know how I can get rid of this condition. I am on a special diet now, but will it work? |

| Short bowel syndrome could emerge in two situations. One is disease (the one you have), and the other is removal of a small part of intestines (due to tumor, for example). Some other symptoms that can occur are fluid retention and extreme fatigue. One way to treat this condition is strict diet, which you are already trying. If it does not work, there is a possibility of transplantation of small part of intestines. |
