Has anyone had the experience of going from a 5-day period to a 2-day one, after a leep cone biopsy of the cervix? If so, do you still have a short period, three months later, like me? I had the surgery done last November and now it's late February. Right after the surgery, I bled for 3 weeks (because I also got my period) and then one month later, my period was only 2 days long, instead of 5. I was told by a doctor that it was most certainly temporary, just a result of the trauma to my body, but now it's been the third period I got that was just 2 days long. It's been almost 4 months since the surgery, and I am not seeing any sign of my period becoming what it used to be before the surgery. My gyn. says it could be permanent. Does anyone know anything about all of that? Thanks!

I had a leep procedure done in September 07 and my first period was heavy and early and my second one was normal and since then my periods have also only been 2 days long. According to everything I have read 2-7 days is normal, I suppose It just does not seem to be when your used to 4-5 days. The doctor says not to worry though.
