I have multiple sclerosis and I’m on Copaxone for more then a year. I would like to have a child and I’m planning to become pregnant. Doctor told me that probably I should continue with Copaxone while my pregnancy but I didn’t ask him about brestfeeding. Should I breastfeed while taking my Copaxone?
As you say, you can use Copaxone while you are pregnant because this medication is in FDA pregnancy category B. Of, course with constant monitoring. I read about all those medications for MS and I remember that it’s not known whether Copaxone passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing baby. Anyway you will consult with your doctor about that.
