Hello, I am 29 years old and I am in my sixth month of pregnancy. I have to say that I am so happy that everything is going well. Still, I have been told about the possibility of the disturbed sugar level in the blood and that it is checked with a oral glucose tolerance test. Should I do that test, is it really necessary?

Well, I suppose that you do have some of the symptoms that made the doctors recommend that test. Usually, this test is taken by pregnant women in order to see if they suffer from gestational diabetes. This also means that it is something you have to do, because the high sugar level in your blood can only hurt you and your baby.
